An exit interview was conducted with the director to discuss the results of today's inspection. Consultation was given regarding updated regulations in child/staff ratios (grouping of children), CPR, out of state searches, and accessing the department's website for memos, forms, and additional information.
- Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, May 06, 2019 to determine the center's compliance with religious exempt requirements. The inspection was initiated at 10:45am and concluded at approximately 1:00pm. Today 58 children (ages 2-4yrs) were in attendance being supervised by ten staff with the correct child/teacher ratio in each classroom. Administrative records, children's classrooms, restrooms, sanctuary, outdoor playground, and common areas were inspected. See attached notice for violations found during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-2 Description: Based on the inspection of administrative records, the required central registry background checks were not obtained. Evidence: During the inspection of five staff records and interview with the director, it was discovered there were no staff that have completed the required central registry background checks. The central registry background checks should have been completed on each staff employed by the center on the 30th day of employment. Plan of Correction: Per director: We will mail them off immediately.
