As discussed, model forms for children's records, documenting emergency drills, record of attendance and a new emergency preparedness plan will be emailed to the Vendor.

An announced New Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today. No children were in care during the inspection. Walk thru of the entire home was completed. Vendor file was reviewed. All background checks are current and the required 10 hour Preservice training was completed. Some violations were found today. A corrective action was discussed for each violation. Standard #: 8VAC20-790-400-H Description: Based on observation of the home, medication was not kept in a locked place.
Evidence:
Medications belonging to the Vendor were unlocked in the dining room.Plan of Correction: The medications were moved during the in section.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-410-A Description: Based on review of the first aid kit, the first aid kit was incomplete.
Evidence:
The antiseptic cleaning solution located in the first aid kit expired in 12/2022.Plan of Correction: A new supply of antiseptic cleaning solution will be purchased.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-420-B-3 Description: Based on review of the Vendor's emergency preparedness plan, the plan was incomplete.
Evidence:
The emergency preparedness plan did not include methods to reunite parents with children during an evacuation/relocation, shelter in place scenario or during a lock down.Plan of Correction: I will fill out a new emergency preparedness plan on the model form.
