Licensing Inspector arrived at 8:45 and departed at 11:00 AM to conduct a subsidy health and safety inspection. At the time of the inspection, there were 47 children (ages infant through school-age) in care with 16 staff. Children were observed playing outdoors, participating in circle time, eating snack and participating in free play activities. Medication, injury reports and other center documents were also reviewed.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-560-B Description: Based on review of four children's records, it was determined that the vendor did not ensure that it obtained documentation of additional immunizations once every six months for children less than two years of age. Evidence: The following children needed updated immunizations: - child #1 (last immunizations 6/5/18) - child #2 (last immunizations 12/22/17) Plan of Correction: Center will audit children's records and request updated immunizations from the children who need them.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-750-A Description: Based on review of medication, it was determined that the vendor did not ensure that there was a medication administration trained person on staff. Evidence: There was an epi-pen in the medication cabinet. There is not a MAT trained person employed by the facility. Plan of Correction: Facility is working to get staff trained in medication administration.
