At this time, there are no staff employed who have lived outside of the state of Virginia in the past 5 years. Comments:
A compliance inspection to monitor the requirements for Religiously Exempt Childcare Centers was conducted on 06/24/2019 from 11:15 a.m to 1:05 pm. At the time of arrival the following staff to child ratios were observed: 11 children, 1 to 4 years old, on the outdoor play space with 3 staff 5 children, four to six years old, with 1 staff and 8 children 7 to 10 years old, with 1 staff. The records sample size consisted of 9 staff records. Classroom observations were made and children were observed playing outdoors, working individually at tables in the classroom, watching a children's program on television and eating lunch which consisted of meatball submarine sandwiches, corn and peaches. Handwashing and food service were observed. Handbooks and posted information were reviewed and the center director was interviewed regarding center policies and procedures. The facility, to include all indoor areas used by children in care, as well as the outdoor play space were observed. Staff report that the program does transport children in a vehicle and will administer medication, as needed, with written authorization. Medication administration training and First Aid / CPR training were also reviewed. Thank you for your time during today's inspection. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I may be of assistance.
