An unannounced monitoring Code compliance inspection was conducted today, 7/23/19. A review of staff and children's records was also completed. A violation notice was completed regarding the violations found during today's inspection. There are 44 children in care ranging in age from three months to seven years with 10 staff present. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Inspection began: 9:05 am ended 12:20 pm.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-2 Description: Based on review of staff records the center did not have the required background checks. Evidence: 1. Two of the five staff records reviewed did not have a central registry check or a current central registry check on file. (Staff # 1 & 3) Plan of Correction: The Director will have the staff complete these background checks.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1716-A Description: Based on review of records and interviews the center did not have all the required information in writing for parents and guardians. Evidence: 1. The center did not have qualifications of personnel, health requirements for staff and public health insurance information in writing for the parents/guardians. Plan of Correction: The director will include this information in the parent handbook.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-3 Description: Based on interviews and review of staff records the center did not have staff that have lived outside of the state of Virginia in the past five years complete a central registry check. Evidence: 1. Three of the 13 staff have lived outside of the state of Virginia and they do not have a central registry (CPS) check from that state on file. Plan of Correction: The director will have all the staff complete the central registry checks from the state they are currently or have lived in.
