22VAC40-665 INTRODUCTION

An unannounced code compliance inspection was conducted today 8/6/2019. There were 18 children with four staff supervising in four groupings of children. All ratios were in compliance. Five children's and six staff's records were reviewed during the inspection. A walk through of the building inside and outside was completed. No medication was being administered. No transportation at this current time. The inspector arrived at 10 A.M. and departed the program at 12:15 P.M.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-2 Description: Based on review of six staff's records, the center failed to ensure that all staff had findings from a CPS check with in 30 days of hire. Evidence: Evidence: 1. Staff # 1 was hired on 5/21/2019 and the findings of the CPS background check was returned on 8/5/2019. Plan of Correction: The director stated that she was not aware that the CPS was still required since the finger prints came into place. In the future all backgrounds will be sent when staff are hired.
