Today we discussed advising classroom staff to communicate physical plant issues with the director as soon as they notice them so that work orders may be submitted in a timely fashion. Temporary fixes which had been employed may keep the children safe in the short term. However, with an older building, regular repairs and upkeep are important and necessary.

An unannounced complaint inspection was conducted on 10/08/19 in response to a complaint that was received by the licensing office on 10/4/2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. regarding alleged noncompliance of the Requirements for Religious Exempt Child Day Centers with regard to physical plant upkeep.
An inspection of the facility was conducted to include all areas that children utilize when in care, inside and outside. Staff to child ratios were observed in all classrooms and staff in each classroom were interviewed with regard to any concerns they may have about the physical plant.
The information gathered during the investigation does not support the allegations, so the complaint is found to be NOT VALID. There were no violations noted during the investigation / inspection.
