An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 10:20 a.m. and ending at 12:15 p.m. with the director. There were 37 children in care ranging in age from 2 to 5 years of age under the care and supervision of 8 staff. Children were observed during morning snack, free play and story time. Center documents and eight staff records were reviewed.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1716-B-3 Description: Based on review of documentation and interview with staff, it was determined that the center did not ensure a daily simple health screening and exclusion of sick children was conducted by a person trained to perform such screenings. Evidence: There was no documentation of Daily Health Observation training Plan of Correction: Daily Health Observation will be obtained as soon as possible by at least one staff member that is on duty at all times.
