Licensing Inspector arrived at 10:30 and departed at 11:15 AM to conduct a code compliance inspection for religiously exempt child day centers. At the time of the inspection, there were 11 preschool aged children in care with two staff. A private school also operates at this facility. Children were observed eating snack and playing outdoors. The sample size was two staff records.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-2 Description: Based on review of two staff records, it was determined that the facility did not ensure that all staff had a completed search of the central registry on file within 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
The record for staff #2 did not contain a completed search of the central registry. Staff #2 began employment at the beginning of the school year.Plan of Correction: Office manager will send for search of the central registry and place results in the record.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1716-A-6 Description: Based on review of handbook provided by office manager during inspection, it was determined that the facility did not ensure that all required aspects were described in a document made available to parents, guardians and the general public.
Evidence:
There was no information in the hand book regarding the physical facilities or enrollment capacity of the center.Plan of Correction: Information will be added to next update of the handbook for parents and guardians.
