Technical assistance was provided in the following areas; General recordkeeping, emergency procedures, play areas and nutrition and food services.
- Comments:

An initial subsidy inspection was conducted on 8/30/2023 from 2:45pm to 4:10pm. At the time of the inspection there was one child in care. All subsidy and health requirements were reviewed during the visit. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice and discussed with the provider.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-260-M Description: Based on observation and interview, it was determined the provider did not have protective barriers or guardrails on the porch and stairs which are accessible to children.
Evidence:
1. The front porch and the stairs, which are used for daily entrance and exit, did not have protective barriers or guardrails. The stairs have four risers.
2. The back porch and the stairs, which are used as a secondary exit in the event of an evacuation, did not have protective barriers or guardrails. The stairs have four risers.
3. The provider confirmed there were no barriers or guardrails.Plan of Correction: My landlord and I agree on a style and it will be installed soon
