This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A ?Code Compliance? monitoring inspection was initiated on September 18, 2020 and concluded on September 24, 2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 12 children present and 4 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-3 Description: Based on a review of three staff records, the center failed to provide documentation of central registry background reports within 30 days of employment. Evidence: Staff A, staff B, and staff C?s records were missing documentation of central registry background checks. Plan of Correction: Central registry background checks were completed for staff. The results were not available during the inspection. If there are staff that do not have current central registry background checks in their records, the center will complete the request as soon as possible.
