This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews (if applicable) and a virtual tour of the program (if applicable).
A renewal inspection was conducted in person following all COVID protocol on January 21, 2022. There were 45 children present, ranging in ages from 2 to 5 years, with 10 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on review of two staff records, two do not contain results of a sex offender registry check and results from a search of the child abuse and neglect registry from any state the individual has resided in the preceding five years. One record does not contain results of a criminal history record information check from any state the individual has resided in the preceding five years.

The records for staff members #1 and #2 do not contain results of a sex offender registry check and results from a search of the child abuse and neglect registry from any state the individual has resided in the preceding five years. I will forward the results of all background checks to the inspector when they are received.
