A monitoring Code compliance inspection was initiated on 8/1/2022 and concluded on 8/4/2022. There were 20 children present with four staff supervising and one cook. The school agers were on a field trip to the pool with 16 children and three staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and eight staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10:55 am and concluded at 12:05 pm. Additional information was emailed to the inspector regarding records on 8/4/2022.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.031-A-3-a Description: Based on observation the center failed to ensure that the ratios for infants was followed.
Evidence:
1. During the inspection two LI's observed 15 children with two staff in the toddler-two year old classroom.
2. The youngest child of these 15 children was 13 months old, therefore the ratios for infants would apply.Plan of Correction: The 13 month old was supposed to be in the infant room.
The director reminded staff that ratios are to be maintained and additional training was provided.
