A Code of VA compliance inspection was conducted on 8/17/2022. There were 29 children, ages 3 years and older, in care with three staff and a volunteer. A sampling of five children's records and four staff records were reviewed. The inside and outside areas used by the children were inspected.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program and discussed with the principal during the exit interview.

Standard #: 8VAC20-770-40-D-2 Description: Based upon review of staff records and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that they have obtained for all staff the results of a Child Protective Services (CPS) Central Registry Search within 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. The record provided for staff 4 indicated a hire date of 9/7/2021. The record did not include the results of a CPS Central Registry Search.
