A monitoring inspection was completed; there were 33 children present with 10 staff present which included the director. Children were observed being dropped off and picked up by their parents, playing inside, and eating lunch.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Thank you for your cooperation.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-2 Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain a criminal record check before the hire date.
Evidence:
1. Staff # was hired 07/05/22 and the fingerprint was completed 07/18/2022.Plan of Correction: Fingerprints will be completed before an employee is hired. There is limited availability for appointments for fingerprint checks.
