A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed on 2/6/2023. A Code compliance inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-560-A Description: Based on record review the vendor failed to ensure that all staff shall be evaluated by a health professional and be issued a statement that the individual is determined to be free of communicable tuberculosis.
Staff #1 has a hire date of 10/20 and there are no TB screens on file.Plan of Correction: The director will ensure that all staff have a TB test or screen prior to coming in contact with children.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-B Description: Based on record reviews the vendor failed to ensure that within the first 90 days of employment staff who work directly with children shall complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.

Staff #1 has a hire date of 10/20 and there is no documentation on file statting that the Virginia Preservice training was completed.Plan of Correction: The director will ensure that all staff have the required training within the 90 day time frame.

Based on record reviews the vendor failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment, current CPR certification appropriate to the ages of children in care. And current certification in first aid appropriate to the ages of children in care.
