A Code compliance monitoring inspection was initiated on 2/6/2023 and concluded on 2/6/2023. There were 0 children present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 0 child records and two staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10:00 am and concluded at 11:30 am.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on record review the center failed to ensure that all staff obtain a copy of the results of a criminal history record information check, a sex offender registry check, and a search of the child abuse and neglect registry or equivalent registry from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence:
Staff #1 has a hire date of 10/20 and indicated during the inspection that the staff person had lived outside of the state of Virginia in past five years. There are not out of state background checks on file for staff #1.Plan of Correction: The director will ensure that all required background checks will be sent off within 10 days of the violation.
