Comments:
An unannounced Code Compliance inspection was conducted with the Director on 5/4/23 from 9:15am to 10:10am. There were 21 children present, ranging in age from 3 to 5 years with 4 staff providing supervision. The children were located in two classrooms. They were engaged in arts and craft activities, playing with puzzles and actively watching the Chrysalis in the classroom. Six children and four staff files were reviewed during this inspection.

Noncompliance was observed and violations were cited on the Violation

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-770-40-D-2
Description: Based on a review of 4 staff records and interview with Administrative staff, it was determined that there were no central registry background check son file within 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
Staff A and B did not have central registry background checks on file. Staff A was hired in 2021 and staff B has been in their position for years.

Plan of Correction: We will resubmit for that background checks and then provide a copy to our Licensing Inspector.
