A code compliance inspection was initiated and concluded on 5/8/2023. There were 12 children present, with 2 staff supervising and 1 administrative staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in background checks and requirements for child day centers operated by religious institution exempt from licensure. A total of 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.031-A-6 Description: Based on document review and staff interview, the center had not described all required aspects of the child day center's operation in a written statement to the parents or guardians of the children in the center and made available to the general public.
Evidence: The director confirmed that the enrollment capacity, health requirements for staff, qualifications of personnel, and public liability insurance had not been provided in writing to the parents/guardians and made available to the general public.Plan of Correction: Parent handbook was updated and sent out to parents/guardians.
