An unannounced VA Code 22.1 Compliance monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm. There were 15 children in care being supervised by 5 staff. The children were observed resting and participating in free play. A total of four child records and three staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 22.1-289.031-A Description: Based on observation and interviews it was determined that the required postings regarding the facilities exemption status was not posted in a visible location. Evidence: An infant lounger pillow was observed in a portable crib that was reportedly used for sleep. These lounger pillows are not designed for sleep and are prohibited to be used for sleeping under the products guidelines.
