A Code compliance inspection was initiated on 8/29/2023 and concluded on 8/29/2023. There were nine children present with two staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of written disclosure to parents 7 guardians, staff to child ratios, staffing, procedures, transportation, background checks, and special care. A total of five child records and four staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10:50 am and concluded at 1:10 pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.031-A-3-a Description: (REPEAT VIOLATION) Based on observation the center failed to ensure that the ratios of one staff member to four children ages zero to 16 months was followed.
Evidence:

Standard #: 22.1-289.031-A-8 Description: Based on record reviews the center failed to ensure that a person trained and certified in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) will be present at the child day center whenever children are present or at any other location in which children attending the child day center are present.
