Licensing Inspector conducted an unannounced Religiously Exempt Code Monitor Inspection on September 18, 2023. There were 68 children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old present under the direct care of 13 staff. The Licensing Inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 6 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.031-B-3 Description: Based on documentation review, the Center failed to establish and implement procedures for daily health screening and exclusion of sick children by a person trained to perform DHO screenings.
EVIDENCE:
There was not at least one person present who has received Daily Health Observation training of children.Plan of Correction: Center Director will establish and implement DHO procedures and staff will complete the Daily Health Observations of children training. Documentation of the training will be maintained in each staff record.
