An unannounced Code compliance inspection was conducted today.
There were 34 children in care with four staff.
The children were playing outdoors, having group time, eating lunch and departing. Four child records, and five staff records, were reviewed.

Standard #: 8VAC20-770-40-D-2 Description: Based on a review of five staff files the facility failed to ensure that all required background checks are conducted within 30 days of hire.
Evidence:
1. There are no central registry clearances on file for staff #1 & 5. Hire dates 8-14-23 & 9-7-23.Plan of Correction: The program director will ensure that the central registry clearances are completed for staff #1 & 5.
