A code compliance inspection was conducted on October 27, 2023 from approximately 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. There were 45 children present, ranging in ages from 3 months to 4 years, with 7 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and medication. A total of 6 children's records and 6 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.031-A-3-d Description: Based on observation, and interview, the center failed to follow the staff to child ratios of one staff member to 10 children from ages 36 months to five years.
Evidence: Classroom #1 contained 1 staff with 13 children ages four to five years. Staff #1 and staff #2 confirmed that there were 13 children with 1 staff member.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
Standard #: 22.1-289.031-B-3 Description: Based on interview, the center failed to ensure to implement a daily simple health screening and exclusion of sick children by a person trained to perform such screenings.
