Licensing Inspector conducted an unannounced Religiously Exempt Code Monitor Inspection on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. There were 18 children ages 3 to 10 present under the direct care of 2 staff. The Licensing Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 2 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.058 Description: Based on inspection, the Center failed to ensure each building that was built before 2015 and that houses a child day program is equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector.
EVIDENCE:
A carbon monoxide detector was unavailable.Plan of Correction: Carbon monoxide detector will be purchased and installed in each building used for childcare.
