A code compliance inspection was initiated and concluded on 4/23/2024. There were 28 children present with 4 staff supervising and 1 administrator. Children were engaged in various centers in the classrooms and observed during snack time, and teacher led activities. A total of 5 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:30 am and concluded at 10:10 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.031-A-3-d Description: Based on observation and staff interview the center did not employ supervisory personnel according to the required ratio of staff to children.
Evidence: Staff confirmed they were out of ratio in the ?4-year-old classroom ? (36 months to 5 years). There were 11 children present with 1 staff member. The ratio for this age group is one staff member to ten children (1:10).Plan of Correction: We will be sure to have only 10 children per 1 adult. We always do. The reason there were 11 was the staff member was pulling individual children one at a time from another classroom for a special project.
