Technical Assistance:

A free subsidy update training for health and safety is available on-line at the VA DSS web site. The assistant caregiver will need 3.0 additional raining hours by the end of November 2019 to meet the required 16.0 hours of annual training.

Comments:

An unannounced renewal study was conducted today. Three children were in care (9 points) with the provider. Observed free play, working with manipulatives, reading and preparation for lunch. Lunch served today was going to be pizza, apples and milk. Reviewed children's records, household member's records, emergency preparation, training and physical space. Description:	Based on observation, an infant car seat was occupied by a child and the safety strap was not in use. Evidence: Child #1 was in the car seat upon arrival and the safety strap was not in use and securely fastened.
Plan of Correction:	Moving forward all safety straps will be used when in use.
