The following areas of FDH standards were reviewed with the provider during the virtual inspection. Written information was additionally emailed to the provider.

9. Standard 500.A was additionally reviewed regarding using the front yard for outdoor play space.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 01/15/2021 and concluded on 02/04/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 7 children present and 2 caregivers. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 2 caregiver records and 2 children's records submitted by the provider to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The licensing inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A Description: Based on record review and interview, the provider failed to ensure that caregivers shall obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities.
Evidence:
1. There was no documentation of annual training for caregiver 2.
a. Caregiver 2 has been a caregiver in the FDH since the original licensed was issued on 01/16/2020.
2. The provider confirmed that caregiver 2 had not obtained any annual training.Plan of Correction: Caregiver 2 will begin taking training classes - to obtain 16 hours for 2021.
