Provided consultation on:
1) Standard 150.D which requires current certification in CPR and First Aid, appropriate to the ages of the children in care, from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute or National Safety Council with a hands-on component for CPR.
2) Standard 830 A which requires evacuation procedures to be practiced monthly. 12 evacuation drills are required each year. In addition, two shelter-in-place drills are to be practiced. Documentation should demonstrate that 14 emergency response drills were practiced each year.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 3/29/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were no children present at the time of the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children's records, two caregiver/household member records, the emergency drill log, hand washing procedures, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing of toys and surfaces, meals and snacks, and daily indoor and outdoor activities. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
