Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-570-A
Complaint related: No
Description: Based on interviews, it was determined that on 8/30/2021 the provider did not ensure that a caregiver does not exceed 16 points by using the appropriate point system to determine if an additional caregiver is needed.
Evidence:
On 8/30/2021 the Inspector spoke with the provider via telephone at approximately 9:15am. At that time, the provider reported that 11 children were in care with the provider and one assistant caregiver. Based on the report of each child's age, the provider and assistant were caring for a total of 35 points of children. This is 3 more points than allowed per the Minimum Standards.

Plan of Correction: We have special circumstances on Aug 30th due to
the fact that two caregivers were not available. We
have immediately reach out to additional support to
have an additional caregiver who reported at 9:30 am
on the same day and we have left you a voice mail to
report the same. We have been operating for over 22
years and we take pride of our commitment to
the safety of our children and full compliance
with all state regulations. [sic]

Corrective Action:
1. We are finalizing the on-boarding of two additional
caregivers in case of any emergency and absence of any caregiver to ensure proper compliance and
additional support at all time [sic]

2. We will implement a rotation schedule to ensure
that 3 caregivers are available at all times. [sic]
