Reviewed proper preparation of foods that pose a possible choking hazard. The provider indicated she prepares all foods as required.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 3/2/2022. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 11 children present (28 points), ranging in ages from 6 months to 5 years, with the provider and one assistant caregiver supervising. The Inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies, and nutrition. A total of 3 children's records and 2 caregiver records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-530-F Description: Based on observations, it was determined that soft bedding was place in a crib used by a 6 month old infant.
Evidence:
One 6 month old infant was observed in a crib with a loose blanket hanging over the side rail. In addition, the infant was lying on top of a small loose blanket.Plan of Correction: Both blankets were immediately removed during the inspection. The blankets will not be used while she's still an infant.
