Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted between the hours of 9:15am through 10:05am. There were a total of 3 children present (5 points) with the Provider. A total of 2 children?s files and 1 staff file was reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: building with blocks and engaging in age appropriate free play. Positive interactions between caregiver and children were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the programming space, children and staff records, emergency drills, menu, attendance, and emergency procedures were completed today. No new staff have been hired since the last inspection. The provider advised there was no medication on site today. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and toys. The provider is current in CPR/First Aid certification.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-60-B
Description: Based on record review, the provider did not ensure that children's records contained all required information.

Evidence: Child #1 and Child #2's records did not contain written authorization for emergency medical care should an emergency occur and the parent cannot be located immediately.

Plan of Correction: Will start training classes next month.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-210-A
Description: Based on record review and provider interview, the provider has not obtained a minimum of sixteen clock hours of annual training.

Evidence: The provider has not completed any annual training.

Plan of Correction: Will make sure all papers have been signed by parent.
