Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. The inspection begin at 9:15 AM and concluded at 10:50 AM. The children were observed eating breakfast, and completing a coloring sheet. Today, there were 9 children, totaling 20 points, present with two caregiver. Five children?s records, two caregiver?s record, and one household member?s record were reviewed during the inspection. Last emergency drill: 9/23/22 and Shelter-in-place drill: 6/22/2022 and Lockdown drill: 8/12/2022. Daily attendance records, and all required postings were reviewed. The provider was available for the inspection and was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee. Violations were cited and are documented on the violation notice.

Description: Based on record review and interview, the provider failed to ensure that the parent's authorization for medication; shall expire or be renewed after 10 work days. Evidence: 1. The medication authorization signed by the parent and physician expired 7/31/2022.

Plan of Correction: I will contact the parent about the expired medication.
