An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:40am-11:35am. There were 7 children (20 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 4 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing freely and napping. There was an adequate supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-690-D Description: Based on observation, the diapering surface was not nonabsorbent.
Evidence:
The plastic covering for the diaper changing mats had small holes in certain areas and therefore are no longer nonabsorbent.Plan of Correction: Damaged mat disposed of. I will only use the 2 remaining undamaged, nonabsorbent mats I have.
