Comments:

An unannounced renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on October 20,2022. There were 8 children (23 points) with 2 caregivers supervising. The home, children's records, caregiver records, household member records, evacuation logs, attendance logs, menu's and first aid kits were reviewed. Children were observed playing and listening to stories read by caregivers. Areas of non-compliance were cited on the Violation Notice. Standard #:	8VAC20-800-50-A
Description:	Based on observation, the provider failed to keep a written record of children in attendance each day. Evidence: Upon arrival of the Inspector, the provider did not have documentation of attendance for the day. This was corrected during the inspection.
Plan of Correction:	I will remember to take attendance every day.
Standard #:	8VAC20-800-60-A
Description:	Based on a review of children's records, the provider failed to obtain all required documentation for each enrolled child. Evidence: Child #2 and #3's records did not contain documentation of the names of persons other than the custodial parents who are authorized to pick up the child.
Plan of Correction:	I will ask parent's for the information and will place information in the child file.
Standard #:	8VAC20-800-680-B
Description:	Based on observation the provider failed to ensure that children's hands are washed with liquid soap and warm running water. Evidence: Child #4 did not wash his hand after a diaper change.
Plan of Correction:	I will ensure that children wash hands after toileting or diaper change.
