Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:45am-11:25am. There were 4 children directly supervised by 3 staff. The home, 3 staff records, 4 children?s records, 3 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing freely. There was an adequate supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Description: Based on review of emergency procedures, evacuation drills were not practiced monthly.

Evidence:
Evacuation drills were not practiced for the month of December 2022.

Plan of Correction: We will ensure that evacuation drills are practice monthly.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-70-A
Description: Based on record review, parents were not given, in writing, the homes policies and procedures as required on the Information For Parents model form.

Evidence:
Child #1's "Information for Parents" form was not available for review.

Plan of Correction: The form will be emailed to the parent.
