Discussion that some of the background checks on file at the Family Day Home are reaching the five year mark and will expire this November.
Discussion of the inspection reports placed by the sign in/out sheets. The Provider was encouraged to post these reports on the bulletin board.

This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 01/26/2023, between the hours of 10:30 am to 11:30 am. There were 3 children present (8 points), ranging from infant to preschool-age, with 1 caregiver supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children records, 2 staff records, and 3 household files were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined that there was (1) non-compliance with an applicable standard. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the home.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-800-B Description: Based on review and interview, the Provider did not document in writing each review to the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EP&RP).

1. On the date of inspection (01/26/2023), the most recent review documented on the EP&RP was dated - 09/29/2021.
2. This was confirmed on the date of inspection by the Provider.Plan of Correction: The EP&RP will be reviewed. Documentation of this review will also be recorded. A new last page will be added since the current review page is now full.
