A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. Violations are identified on the violation notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-250-F Description: Based on a review of records and interview, the vendor did not ensure that all caregivers who work directly with children attend at least 16 hours of training, to include the department's health and safety update course.
Evidence:
One provider records was reviewed. The record for provider #1 did not include documentation demonstrating that the provider attended the department's health and safety update course within the past 12 months.
The provider stated that she had not yet taken the annual refresher course for the current year.Plan of Correction: The provider began to enroll in the annual safety training course during the inspection and will complete the 3 hour training before Monday.
The provider stated that she will put a reminder in her calendar to take the course again before 2/6/2024.
