8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 02/15/2023 from 8:40am to 10:05am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The programming area, attendance, outdoor playground area, menus, Provider and Household member records, 5 children?s records, emergency drills, injury reports, and emergency supplies were reviewed. There were no medications on site. Children were observed eating breakfast and participating in group play, and legos. Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed. The Provider was current with certification in CPR and First Aid training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
