Comments:

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 11:00am-11:50am. There were 7 children for a total of 17 points directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 3 staff records, 4 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and making pictures. Diapering procedures were also observed. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #:	8VAC20-770-40-D-4-a
Description:	Based on record review and interview, the Provider did not within 30 days obtain a Central registry Search on a household member who moved in during the summer. Evidence: 1. Household member has a clearance but it is the Central Registry Clearance.
Plan of Correction:	I will have it completed this week and sent out immediately.
Standard #:	8VAC20-800-830-A
Description:	Based on interview and record review, it was determined emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly. Evidence: 1. The Evacuation log did not have drill recorded for December or January. 2. The Provider said they were not done then.
Plan of Correction:	I have not done one in February so I will hold a drill today and every 30 days.

Description:	Based on record review, it was determined the Provider did not maintain children's files with all the required information. Evidence: 1. Child #2's file does not contain Emergency Contact's addresses. 2. Child #3's file does not contain acknowledgement of information given about the program. 3. Child #4's file does not contain Proof of Identity and acknowledgement of liability insurance.
Plan of Correction:	I will be sure to get parents to complete the forms.

Description:	Based on observation, it was determined small electrical appliances were not unplugged when items were not in use. Evidence: 1. In the Provider's kitchen area there were two small kitchen appliances plugged in but these items were not in use.
