Assure that emergency drill records clearly document the type of drills that are being performed.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 03/28/2023 from approximately 10:00 a.m. ? 1:05 p.m. Caregiver records, children?s records, and the physical plant were reviewed. There were 8 children present that were between 11 months and four years old with 2 caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies, and nutrition. A total of 5 child records were reviewed. Caregiver records were reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined violations with applicable standards or law. A violation notice was issued. Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today, 04/11/2023. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventive measure(s). Description: Based on record review, the provider failed to ensure all applicants for employment shall submit to fingerprinting and undergo a national criminal background check prior to employment.
Evidence:
The record for S2, employed 02/21/2023 did not have results of a national criminal background check prior to the first day of employment. The results of the national criminal background check for S2 are dated 02/23/2023.

Description: Based on child record review, the provider failed to ensure that one of four records
contained the required information for each child enrolled.
Evidence:
The record for C1, enrolled 08/22/2022 did not contain the names of persons other than the custodial parents who are authorized to pick up the child and documentation of additional immunizations once every six months for children under that age of two years. The immunization documentation for C1 was due by 02/22/2023.

Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure the hot water at taps available to children were maintained within a range of 105 - 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Evidence: On 03/28/2023, the inspector tested the hall bathroom sink used by the children in care with a digital thermometer. The hot water temperature registered at 128.7 degrees.
