Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 06/26/2023 from approximately 9:23 a.m. ? 12:14 p.m. Caregiver, household member, children?s records and the physical plant were reviewed. There were 11 children present with 2 caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies, and nutrition. A total of 5 child records were reviewed. Caregiver and household member records were reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined violations with applicable standards. Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today, 07/5/2023. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventive measure(s). Description: Based on observation and interview, the provider failed to maintain furnishings in the family day home in a clean, safe, and operable condition.

Evidence:
Licensing inspector observed three infant high chair seat covers torn and peeling. The provider acknowledged the condition of the covers and reported difficulties finding replacement covers for the particular brand of high chair.

Description: Based on observation, caregiver failed to ensure that the children?s hands are washed with liquid soap and warm running water after diapering.
Evidence:
Licensing inspector observed S2 diaper an infant and afterwards failed to wash the child?s hands after diapering.

Description: Based on observation, the diapering surface for children was not cleaned prior to sanitizing after each use.
Evidence:
Licensing inspector observed S2 sanitizing the diapering surface after diapering a child; however, not cleaning the surface with soap and water prior to sanitizing.
