An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today.
There were 10 children present, (ages 17 mos-4 yrs) for a total of 26 points, with the provider and an assistant.
The children were playing with toys, drawing with markers, exercising with a children's music program and taking a water break.
Two child records, and two staff records, were reviewed.

Standard #: 22.1-289.036-B-2 Description: Based on a review of documents, the facility failed to ensure that backgrounds checks are completed for household members.
Evidence:
1. There is no fingerprint background check on file for HH member #1.Plan of Correction: The provider reported that this was an oversight and that HHM #1 has an appointment scheduled on 8/29/23 for a fingerprint background check.
Standard #: 8VAC20-770-40-D-4 Description: Based on a review of documents, the facility failed to ensure that backgrounds checks are completed for household members.
Evidence:
1. There is no sworn statement on file for HH member #1.Plan of Correction: The provider reported that HHM #1 signed a sworn statement ton 8/22/23.
