Technical Assistance:
Discussed regular review of topical skin products for expiration dates to ensure compliance.

Comments:
An unannounced inspection was conducted on 1/25/24, between the hours of 9:30am and 11:20am. There was a total of 12 children with 2 staff members supervising. Children were observed during snack time, engaged in group activities and playing with various age appropriate toys. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, children and staff records, special care and emergencies and nutrition. There was no medication on site. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-830-D
Description: Based on record review and interview, the provider failed to maintain records of emergency evacuation for one year.
Evidence : 1.Last documentation of emergency evacuation was 6/2023.
2. The provider stated drills were conducted and documented, but could not locate documentation at the time of the inspection.

Plan of Correction: The provider stated that the evacuation drills were completed and she will locate documentation by close of business today.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-180-A
Description: Based on record review, provider failed to obtain for each caregiver a current Report of Tuberculosis Screening form,in accordance with the requirements every two years from the date of the first screening.
Evidence: The record for caregiver #3 did not have a current TB screening on file. Last documentation of Tb screening was 9/14/21, expired 9/14/23.

Plan of Correction: Caregiver #3 stated TB screening was completed in September 2023 and will provide documentation to the provider by close of business today.
