Technical Assistance:
Discussion on required annual training for caregivers.
Discussion on background checks for caregivers repeated every 5 years.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on February 15, 2024, approximately 12:17 pm to 1:20 pm. There were 11 children (totaling 28 points) directly supervised by 4 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 3 children?s records, evacuation drills, and emergency supplies were inspected. Children were observed participating in tummy time, individual play, and resting. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an assortment of age-appropriate materials for the children in care. All staff had CPR and First Aid training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance.

Description: Systemic Deficiency

Based on interview and a review of one staff member's record, the renewal applicant for licensure family day home did not have a repeated criminal history check completed every five years.
Evidence:
1. Staff member 1 criminal history results expired on 1/28/2024.

Plan of Correction: I did it the next day. I sent the results by email

Description: Based on interview and a review of four staff member?s record, the caregivers did not obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities.
Evidence:
1. Staff member #3 and #4 completed 2 out of the 16 hours of annual training.

Plan of Correction: Staff #3 an #4 had 4-5 hours more of training
I sent teh certificate by email. They also are participating in a class now fiinish on 2/28/2024 at 9 pm. They will have 8 more hours. I will send the ceritfications that soon they the teachers send me them
