Comments:
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted today. At the beginning of the inspection the Provider was returning with the children from a walk around the neighborhood. The transition from outside to inside was observed. The children were seen taking their shoes off before entering and placing them near the front door. They proceeded to the bathroom to wash their hands before they began playing freely in the programming space. The children were familiar with the routine and were demonstrating some independence with the routine. No medication needs identified. Some topical ointments were onsite and were reviewed. Lunch preparation was underway. Lunch today was fresh fruit, oranges, apples with beef and mashed potatoes. No identified food allergies for the children presently in care. Cribs, toys and equipment were maintained. A total of 4 child records, staff record and 1 household record was reviewed. This inspection occurred between 11am and 12:30pm. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
