Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 4/1/2024 between the hours of 10:35am through 12:00pm. There were a total of 8 children, ranging in age from 3 months to 8 years present (18 points) with the Provider and 1 assistant. A total of 5 children?s files, 2 staff files, and 2 household member?s files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: coloring, dancing to music, and engaging in free play. Infant care including feeding and diapering was also observed during this inspection. Positive interactions between caregivers and children were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the programming space, children and staff records, emergency drills, menu, attendance, and emergency procedures were completed today. The provider advised there was no medication on site today. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and toys and the home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Please complete the columns for "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" for each violation cited on the Violation Notice, and then return a signed and dated copy to the licensing office by 5pm on 4/10/2024. Description:	Based on record review, the provider did not obtain the results of a criminal history background check prior to hire or request the results of an out of state child abuse and neglect central registry search within 30 days of hire for all states in which staff have lived in the preceding 5 years. Evidence: Staff #2 (Date of Hire: 12/2023) has resided in the state of Pennsylvania within the last 5 years and did not have Pennsylvania criminal history background check results or a Pennsylvania child abuse and neglect central registry search request on file at the time of inspection.
