This annual subsidy inspection was conducted by the inspector using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency declared by the Governor of Virginia in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Preliminary data was obtained from the vendor on June 23, 2020.
An annual subsidy inspection was initiated on June 25, 2020, at which time the vendor was contacted by telephone and text to initiate the inspection, and concluded on June 26, 2020. The inspector texted the vendor a list of items required to complete the inspection.
The vendor reported there were four children in care and zero children living in the home under the age of 12 present with the vendor. The inspector reviewed two children?s records and one adult record submitted by the vendor to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Information gathered during the inspection determined areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-E-1 Description: Based on review of one provider record, the vendor did not ensure the provider had a current certification in cardiopulmoary rescuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the age of children in care.
Evidence:
The record for Provider #1 contained a CPR that indicated the certification expired May 2019.Plan of Correction: I completed the online portion of the training and will complete the skills assessment as soon as possible.
