Comments:

Type of inspection: Initial A physical plant inspection was conducted by the licensing inspector #1 on 10/27/2023. On 1/25/24, Licensing Inspector #1 initiated a remote inspection and requested documentation to be submitted via secure emailed to inspector #1 and Inspector #2. Initial applicant was transferred to Licensing inspector #2 and this inspector reviewed the following documentation submitted via email: policies and procedures, forms, menu?s, employee records, liability insurances, criminal background, sworn statements and central registry results. Licensing inspector #2 requested additional information for several employee records which was received by way of secure email and reviewed on 2/23/24. Licensing Inspector #2 met with several agency representatives via TEAMs on 3/4/2024 to discuss findings of information reviewed remotely and, clarification of several policies and procedures and next steps in the licensing process. Number of children in care: N/A Number of approved provider homes: N/A Number of children?s records reviewed: N/A A tour of the residential facility was conducted by Licensing Inspector #1 10/27/23 and a second tour and walk through of the ten bed capacity facility was completed by Inspector #2 on 3/15/2024 and found to be in compliance with all required standards. Number of staff records reviewed: 18 staff records, 1 corporate officer record was reviewed. Number of interviews conducted with staff: 2 entrance and exit interviews with Director of Children's Services and Community Liaison. Additional Comments/Discussion: Commonwealth Catholic Charities (Cabrini Children?s Center: VA Beach is an initial Children's Residential Facility in the Tidewater area of Virginia.
