4/2/2024 ? 11:36 AM ? 3:30 PM - Inspection conducted with assistance from Program Director and Director of Outreach who were accessible during the onsite renewal inspection visit.

4/3/2024 ? 11:55 AM ? 5:38 PM - Inspection conducted with assistance from Program Director and Director of Outreach who were accessible during the onsite renewal inspection.

The Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed by the Program Director and a copy was left at the site each day of the renewal visits.

The licensing inspector completed a tour of the physical plant that included the building and grounds of the facility.

Additional Comments/Discussion:
An entrance conference was held on 04/2/2024 with the Program Director. The shelter facility was not serving any residents at the time of this inspection; therefore, licensing inspector reviewed two full records to include discharge plan and summaries. Licensing inspector reviewed medication administration for children prescribed medications and reviewed medication storage. Specialist had discussion about the process of medication administration and how control medications would be stored and secured if the need presented. Specialist reviewed first aid kit and found two items that needed to be disposed of due to expiry dates. Licensing inspector discussed the removal of the pain relief medications from the first aid kit and to secure OTC medication in the identified locked cabinet. Licensing inspector reviewed the CRF safety matrix with assistance from the Director of Outreach and no concerns were noted following the review. Additional documentation reviewed by the inspector included but was not limited to the following: emergency drill documentation, menus, fire exits; extinguishers, fire and health inspections, liability insurances for CRF vehicles and agency, water temperature in upstairs bathroom and daily logbook entries. Program Director discussed with licensing specialist issues with the hot water heater which was replaced and installed during the second day of inspection. Specialist discussed and recommended the replacement of two twin mattress with Program Director during exit meeting and Director of Shelter programs shared changes and updates made as a result of technical assistance provided during the previous inspection. Shelter Director and the Director of Shelter Programs were available and accessible during the inspection and both staff members were interviewed during the exit meeting on 4/3/24.
